The 2 surviving juvenile Peregrine falcons having left the nest last Sat are now flying above the cliffs at Torrey Pines St park near LaJolla, CA. The parents are feeding the young birds until they can catch their prey by themselves. The aerial “mock battles” prepare them for catching their own prey and improve flight skills. Peregrines have been clocked at 240 mph in a dive and are the fastest animal or bird on earth.
